Throwing Biography
Tommy V. (Thomas Vickers) is an experienced projectile artist who specializes in the disciplines of knife and tomahawk throwing. His focus is safety first. He has been educating and entertaining people of all ages for many years. Tommy V. actively competes at the highest level in knife throwing, tomahawk throwing and Mountain Man tournaments. He is a two time throwing World Record breaker (Record Setter) and a current World Record holder (Record Setter). Tommy V. has thrown alongside world champions and is an avid promoter of throwing as a national and international sport, hobby, tradition and a good source of exercise.
History Biography
Over the years, Tommy V. has shared with people of all ages the language, history and culture of the indigenous Americans of the northeastern woodlands. He has provided numerous historical presentations over the past two decades. Such venues include the Springfield Museum, University of Massachusetts and Historic Deerfield. He produced and hosted a radio program, North East Native American Radio via WXOJ FM Northampton, Massachusetts in 2005. The hour long radio show educated and entertained tens of thousands of listeners weekly in the subjects of Northeast Native history, music, and culture. Tommy V. studied anthropology, archaeology and history on a college level. He has been a student of New England colonial era history for over two decades.
